That may be your opinion. When the Congress Party is in power such lawlessness only increases. The point is to harass and humiliate Rahul Mahajan and hence all this drama. Do you seriously think Man Mohan Singh and the bunch of corrupt jokers (sic) in his Party will be able to govern?

History tells us that it's difficult to govern the Indians. The Mughals failed, the British failed. Moreso, India was a home to the maximum number of Prophets and Saints, yet our public morality is amongst the lowest.
As an individual, Dr. Mamohan Singh is a well read person and honest--'money-wise'. However, he is unable to grapple with the facts because in the present day bureaucratic conditions here he doesn't get to see the facts (ground-realities) often.
Certainly, there are kinds & shades of integrity--to presume that a survivable Indian politician is also intellectually honest, will be a politically unwise assumption.
Intra-party rivalry within the BJP is equally to blame for what happened to Rahul.
His example also shows that sometimes--despite the possession of immense wealth, one may not get the right & timely legal advice because those who tend to cling to the persons-in-power may not always be the best in the profession--any profession.
